I do not feel that this is the application of an easy path within steemit, as mentioned by certain participants. I think it is an alternative to create content of different quality, for those who are not 100% expressive with words, but if with other types of art.
Aah yes.. steepshot is for those who use instagram and is designed to attract such people who are all about pictures. But like i have said in response to another comment, the better way will be to detach such platforms from steemit so that like minded users can use their platforms without having to get infuriated over getting feed they dont want.
