Understanding S.T.U Steem.Supply Rewards Algorithm Upgrade, And How Rewards Are been Split between Authors in SBD, Steem Power and USD Explained

So lets take a look at the recent $ upgrade display in Steem.supply and how reward are actually calculated in Steemit.

We are all familiar with the default USD $ displayed on Steemit as the total amount earned on a post, well this figure been been displayed is not the real calculations shown here, first of all its not USD, and its also not a SBD

So lets talk about STU and what this is

This is actually a STU or Steem Token Unit which is totally different from SBD and Steem as main currencies, STU is the underlying value storage in the STEEM blockchain, another name for this is VESTS so please go to https://steemd.com to see how much VESTS you have, recommended for minnows too.

So, once again, the potential reward amount that's been displayed near your post are STU or VESTS

So Lets take a look at how much you would receive from a post worth 100 STU

You will be sharing 25% of your total STU to curators.

The remainder for you is 75 STU.

Then there is a 50 / 50 split explanation below.

You will get the first half of your 75 STU in SBD,

Half of 75 is 37.5. So you will receive 37.5 SBD

You will receive the  second half  in Steem Power at whatever the internal Steemit price for STEEM is in USD

So let's say the internal STEEM price is $6, you get $37.5 / $6 = 6.25 Steem Power as you can see.

The Final payout explained

At the end of these calculations of our 100$ post that i said was in STU you get 37.5 SBD and 6.25 (Sp) are Steem Power end result.

You Post is Worth way way More Than 100 Dollars Display

I'm going to show you the real value of your post, so let say the fiat USD value of steem is =6$, and the SBD to USD value is =8$

Then 37.5 SBD multiply by 8 would = $300.

And the 6.25 worth of Steem power (sp) would be = $35.5

So 100 STU that is been displayed on steemit.com beside your post is 335.5 in USD after the 25 percent curation split.

Visit steem.supply

For minnows enter your user name into the search on steem.supply to check on you potential rewards

And please take a look at the new upgrades on that website and please try again if it fails to load because of hi traffic recently.

I hope this was helpful to you, please leave your questions in the comment if any, and i wish you all the success on steemit.com

you will share 25 % of your 2.51 STU with other members who upvoted your post, after then, you are left with 75% in STU, this 75 % will be split in half 50/50, so you get 50% sbd and 50% steem power final payout go to steem.supply and enter your user name and you will see your final payout
