What if the universe is just one giant blockchain?
What if every single thought that has occurred throughout the entire span of history is recorded in a large public ledger blockchain? What if every human, animal, god, alien, and intelligent life-form is contributing to the blockchain?
Earth is a giant witness node, although many others exist throughout the entire universe. The witnesses on the planet are aware of other witness nodes, although this information is kept secret from many of the lesser powerful beings occupying the planet.
Prayer and meditation are two well-known ways to access hidden blockchain API methods, which allow conscious entities to interact with the blockchain in various ways. Mystics and monks over the years have developed extremely complicated and sophisticated tools, allowing them to access and use the data/methods that are available. Some of these have been made publicly known; many are still kept secret.
There is such a thing as 'God', but not as an individual entity overseeing and controlling the universe. God is a conscious entity, and the blockchain exists within the consciousness of God. Every individual possesses it's own personal consciousness sphere, but we are all part of the larger whole known as God. When we interact with the blockchain, we are interacting with God.
At the current point in time, we are at a more developed phase of the blockchain's eternal existence, but there is still much more advancement yet to come. While the blockchain has existed forever from the perspective of human time, we are just now starting to realize some of the true potential that exists within it on a large scale.
Bitcoin, Steem, and many of the other blockchain based technologies that are beginning to take shape, are evidence that humanity is waking up to the true nature of our existence in the universe - the blockchain.
Let's fork the universe!
Ever heard of the Many Worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics? It's an actual scientific theory that says for every single decision-point in time, nature makes all possible choices and our brains are only capable of "seeing" one of those choices, which manifests itself as our timeline. All other possible choices exist in alternate universes that are tantalizingly just out of our reach. I take comfort in this bizarre theory: if true, it means that somewhere out there is an alternate version of myself who is a billionaire living it up on my own private island, enjoying the good life I can only dream of. :-)

An interesting perspective. Is there a filing system? Is every piece of data equally weighted or is the judgement on what is important, good, bad, etc...?
The blockchain has a very sophisticated storage and archiving system. It is designed to hold an eternity of data. The weight and value associated with the data is left up to the entities that read and interpret the data.
Very interesting concept. I also toyed with a train of thought looking to merge two fields (religion and science) If you don't mind taking a moment I would like to hear your thoughts. Appreciated and upvoted for content of quality alone, not seeking a reciprocation

Nice post. I have never seen science and religion as mutually exclusive. They are looking at the same thing through different perspectives. There can be errors in perception as well as truth on both sides.
