Recently we had some issues revolving around the servers that we were hosting @steemthat promotion upvote bot. We also had some issues with our developer account at AWS. This was only me to blame. I kept trying to remember my login and couldn't remember it. Eventually for security reasons Amazon took steps to protect my account and account information. Though I was extremely frustrated with their customer service after the fact I do appreciate the security. Sometimes users of https://SteemThat.com get mad at me for our similar security. I now understand your frustrations but also appreciate the security in place.

@steemthat is now running on an EC2 instance at Amazon...

What this hopefully will mean moving forward is a lot less down time. We are running @inertia 's ruby promotion bot with some sweet mods that help us do some great things. The DROTTO bot he created is by far the single biggest helper to minnows that write high quality posts. With the adddition of the blacklist scammers can now be blocked from using the service to upvote pixabay images.

I know comment spam is one of the biggest concerns of Promotion bot services.

One thing we are looking at doing once we know we are running extremely well is move to a silent system. This will allow users to receive the needed boost to their posts without the comments. As we perfect the operations as a responsible member of the Steemit community we appreciate your support.

We moved the https://SteemThat.com website to the cloud in early November of 2017. This has allowed us to handle the peak volumes of traffic we were seeing. The amount of data that sometimes needs to be delivered is now handled with speed and accuracy. We are constantly adding new information that helps members have a better experience using the steem block chain. In addition to this we are making strides in the way we interact with the Steem blockchain.

Steemit and Steem have a lot of great things to offer and the future should be brighter than the past.

We have made some changes due to poloniex's theft of our Steem. We are small and every Amount of Steem and SBD we collect goes to growing both platforms. Since we lost so much Steem we have closed https://Steemish and do not plan to partner or implement the SMT in 2018. We have also closed another private server we used for development purposes. The funds that were stolen by @poloniex were going to be used to power the curation specialist accounts. These specialist accounts support members of the SteemThat.com community. We had plans to make a few trades and take advantage of the trading environment so that we could super charge the community specialists accounts for the end of 2017. We truly just want to help minnows grow and one way we can do that is by supporting their high quality posts. Unfortunately we will not be able to Super Charge these accounts unless some generous donor delegates some Steem Power using our Delegation services or other's delegation services.
