Steemit Is Changing My Life Thank You

in #steemthat7 years ago (edited)

On my journey to be a better me I have discovered so many useful things.

One of them is Markdown Language which I am still trying to learn the ins and outs of...Today I did make some changes to SteemThat.com to allow the use of Markdown when you submit to both Steemit.com and SteemThat.com. In a way I'm going to miss using the html wysiwyg editor which is still available but on the other hand it is marker of yesterday. Using markdown is a progression benchmark in a way.

I'm not just your ordinary blogger anymore...

I'm not sure how Steemit.com does it but the mirror output would be sweet. I'm going to look into adding this feature soon. I'm really not just regurgitating old news. I'm not writing for money or for prestige. I'm writing because I love to write. With each post I become more focused on conveying my message and making needed improvements. Sometimes my posts are kind of plain. What is wrong with vanilla?

When I started building SteemThat.com I really just wanted a place for a lot of relevant up to date content to be stored and easily navigable.

Steemit.com is freaking awesome and I'm learning new things daily even after months of being involved. This barrier to entry learning curve I wanted to tackle. Soon I realized that the amount of tools and services and knowledge that would need to be compiled would take a small army.

The task at hand was more than a one man job. I needed to build a platform where users could submit their new found Steemit.com tools and reviews. I wanted to build a grand place where users to write their own reviews and how to guides specifically about Steemit and things Steem related. Organizing new and relevant content will be an ever growing challenge. Some folks are starting to step up to this challenge and are publishing on SteemThat.com also. Thank you for your efforts. I'll start back writing soon also and we will compile the absolute best Steemit archives.

The More I Learn The Easier It Gets.

It is possible that I will never fully grasp all of the things Related to STEEM. It is massive and beyond belief and is being added to by the second. One thing I have learned is that it might be possible to grab the data that we need and display it without actually writing content. Somethings will always be better off explained especially for new folks to Steemit.com. But somethings we can automate now like we have done with @dsounds and many others with more coming soon! We had at one time almost the whole steemit.com website feeding to SteemThat.com which was cool but tough as heck on the server. So we had to limit what we feed now but as we make improvements I think we will bring back many of the feeds with our new way of scripting coming soon.
One Thing Coming In The Future For SteemThat.com Members will probably be your own page like facebook does but your page can have your steemit blog feed on it where other members can upvote and comment straight from SteemThat.com...We are moving closer to this daily and I'm stoked about how cool just these minor phase 1 integrations will improve our lives...

Steemit.com is fantastic but lacks the whole social media concept in some respects.

SteemThat.com truly does bring so much of the social aspect to the platform. Once we fully can integrate things with the steem block chain there will be no other Portal like what our band of misfits have created. I'm proud of our community and movement. You can chat, and make friends and support each other all from one place and that makes us very unique. Some features are coming soon and we are raising funds by selling Access tokens. If you like what we are doing we would love your support!ek

Oh Yeah By The Way We Are Testing Out How We Might Implement Our Smart Media Tokens Also. Check it out! Heck just go ahead and Join here is the link... https://steemthat.com/register/

Steemthat is great really an example of what Steemit can achieve!!

It really is the beginning and I think once people start seeing all of the businesses and niches built around the Steem Block Chain the price of Steem will rise back up high again. It is more than just a blogging platform. It really will change the world as we know it as it has already started changing mine. Looking forward to trying to launch an SMT to replace or Compliment our Internal SteemThat Tokens and SteemThat Liquid. We are adding so many cool tools and features almost daily I can barely keep up with what needs doing next.

Sorry if I am ignorant, I imagine you may have addressed this in some of your writing already. I have only investigated Steemthat due to the various things I have been reading lately. Are Steemthat tokens on a blockchain as well currently? Not that I think they need to be just curious.

SteemThat Tokens and SteemThat Liquid Are Not Decentralized Blockchain. Though we do offer a public ledger of all transactions for transparency. There is a central banking system set-up verses a decentralized system. The known amount of tokens created to date and the amount that will be created is published and soon will be more openly available through graphs and charts by Mid November. One draw back is hackers could potentially hack my centralized system and add inject a lot of tokens. This is easily recognizable and corrected and soon we will have multiple mirror images of our databases ran so that we always have a steady updated back-up system in the event of a crises.

Our current system is primarily for testing concepts and theories as we look forward to connecting with Smart Media Tokens which will run off of the Steem or Ethereum Block Chain...Preferably Steem since we are all about Steem and Steemit. With that said we do appreciate the purchase of Tokens to interact with our website and to save up for the merger. The purchased tokens help us add more tools and services and will help us as we will probably have to employ a team of developers at some point to ramp up and launch the Smart Media Tokens.

The great thing about blockchain to me is that it has no single entry point of failure as their is a distributed copy updated across the nodes. Another great thing about blockchain is that there is no one single person that can just shut it down. If Governments were to go crazy it is almost not stoppable.
