Thank you for this interesting piece. Though the fire happened some time ago, but this article showed some of our weakness.
Why close down the landfill when you can easily turn the methane gas into fuel and electricity by advance means. Harnessing the power of Biofuel.
I guess we are still developing but such energy project will improve our power supply.
