STEEM PRICE AFFECTS VOTING POWER WORTH

Happy sunday guys, most of you might be wondering why many contest prices have reduced or why you no longer get good upvotes.

Well, I'll tell you that now, you can see that in the past few days the price of steem has dropped drastically.

You see that in the chart above steem price was at $4.6, although that is also low compared to last year december period.

And here's the chart for today below,

As of when this post was been written the price was $2.5 and still falling...

So here's what I think: I'm guessing since steem price has fallen so low, your steem power worth also decreases because steem power is steem that has been vested and cannot be withdrawn immediately. If you're not getting worthy upvotes don't be angry because the whale are not happy with the curation rewards they're getting now that steem price has fallen. E.g a 10% upvote that worths $30 before will have reduced alot, so you can see why whales tend to conserve voting power at this point.
