Technology is the collection of methods, skills, processes and techniques used in the production of goods and services to achieve a goal. Technology is getting advance everyday which is making it to solve alot of our problems. We have many aspects in which technology as really develop and assisting us in the our society respectively. Here are some of the ways in which technology as helped us
- Banking system: during olden days if money is needed we need to wait till working days before we get our money but nowadays with your ATM card or even without it you can get your cash. If the machine you tend to use have have fingerprint without your card you can get your money in which that is part of the advancement of technology from waiting to get your cash to getting your money using ATM card even now using your fingerprint as your card to get your cash from the machine which I can say it is more saver than the ATM card itself. It as also advance that you can simply transfer find to the love ones without leaving were you are.
- Health sectors: with the improvement in the machine use in various hospital which can diagnosis the body system is a solution from technology to the health sector which makes it easier to know what is wrong in the body system of human being.
- Educational sector: the introduction of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) in various university, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has make it easier to mark the bulky papers, help in reducing errors, it also makes it easier to get record of students, reduce the panic of script been missing, also reduce the examination malpractice and guide the students to get there accurate result. These are the solution that technology provided in the educational sector.
- Election: with the introduction of electronic card reader that was use during 2015 general election in Nigeria as really reduce misconduct of the election. It use to accredited voters to know the number of people that will vote and with this it makes the collation of the results easy, in which another technology use was the updating of each result on the social media. The new technology which is intend to use is the electronic voting system which some of the university in the nation are already using. With this electronic voting the rigging of elections will be reduce and will allow the voters to vote in the right person.
- Football: the advancement in technology has reached the game of soccer with the introduction of goal line technology that assist the referee to decide when the ball score and the newly introduced Video Assistant Referee which help the referee to check before taking decision on the pitch which totally reduce errors.
Waste: waste water from our house can be converted to gas, electricity and even reuse it in domestic ways which science prove as one of the way to get pure form of water. It also use in the converting of waste to wealth like reusing of plastic, iron etc.
Security: technology advancement has really improving my nation with the introduction of Bank Verification Number which allow banks to link different customers account reduce the rate in which corruption is occurring. The BVN now is now been link with the National Identity Card that will give access to all your personal records which make it easier to track criminal down.
These are the little that I can write now about how technology is really helping but it has it own negative effects also like reduction of man power, inefficient of some machine.
