Thanks for the warm welcome guys, it was really nice and heartwarming.

Today I would like to go deep into the worst nightmares of some girls that they like to keep secret to people they don't fully trust or are not familiar with, the pain that comes with going through a normal process in life.

I'm talking about menstraul pain.

Though some people might think it's not really an important topic, well make your evaluation at the end of this post.

DEFINITION

Firstly, lets get a clear definition of what menstraul pain is.
The pain that most ladies of women experience before or during menstraul period.

What Is Menstraul Period?

This is the period that defines the monthly flow of blood form the uterus. That period of days in which there is regular or irregular flow of blood from away from your body.

What Is Menstruation?

This is the monthly flow of blood from the wall of the uterus. Normally, the uterus prepares itself for Implantation, (the process where the fertilized egg (ovum or egg cell) is implanted in the wall of the uterus), so if there is no fertilized egg, the unferterlized egg comes out with the blood vessels that line the endometrium of the uterus. Together they come out as blood after every 28 days, ranging from individuals.

The coming out of the egg is supported by prostagladins in the wall of the uterus that causes contraction of this wall similar to that of child bearing to shed the wall full of blood vessels.

So, when we say mentraul pain, we are surely talking about the pain that comes with this period. It is also known as dysmenorrhea and it could be a dull, severe or an extreme one.

It mostly starts when the egg is released from the ovary and moves down the fallopian tube.
The pain mostly occurs at the lower part of the trunk and back and can l;ast for upto 4 days. This kind of pain is reffered to as primary dysmenorrhea.
It only becomes secondary when there is no identifiable problem.

Symptoms Of Menstraul pain

Though we don't really need this, as most girls already know most of the symptoms, but just for reference purpose, some of them include;

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Sweating
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Diarrhea
  • Bloating
  • Pain in the lower back
  • Constipation

If you notice this things during your menstraul phase, they are mostly normal, but combination of 2 or more exceeds the boundary of normal, you need to treat yourself.

Good enough, treatment of menstraul pain is not much of a problem, because there are so many treatments available.

Please don't abuse these drugs, they could be harmful

Treating Menstraul Pain

  • The first I would like to talk about is the use of NSAIDs ( Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) to treat menstraul pain. These drugs may sometimes contain pain killers like Ibuprofen.
They might be used alone or combined with some other drugs to improve the effect.
  • Secondly, the use of hormonal birth control pills. It works by decreasing the lining of the uterine wall thereby reducing pain and also bleeding.
Bleeding is a normal and needed sign of ovulation but continous use of birth control pills can put a stop to it, so don't fret when you don't see any blood when you continously take birth control pills.

Other form of birth control techniques can also be useful in reducing the pain.

  • Next, the use of home remedies, yes home remedies like the ones we can make ourselves.
  • Taking hot baths or applying hot water to the lower abdomen, and be careful not to burn yourself. This has proven to be very handy in treating menstraul pain, give it a try and see how it goes.

  • Taking Chamomile tea also helps, and can be easily prepared at home. You can also try taking Lipton tea and see how it goes.

  • Taking Ginger powder

  • Enough sleep.

  • Yoga

  • Last but not the least is Surgery. The use of this is only when the pain is due to conditions such as endometrosis or fibroids.

  • Exercising regularly
  • Reduce the intake of salt, alcohol, caffine and sweets
  • Reduce your stress level
  • If possible, quit smoking
  • And most especially, taking in lots and lots of fruits.

Wait, let's not forget to add the people that are most likely to experience menstraul pain.

  • People that started puberty at age 11 or younger
  • People that bleed heavily during periods
  • People that have never given birth
  • Mostly people under age 20

Also there are some conditions that makes the pain worse

  • Endometriosis
  • Adenomyosis
  • Cervical stenosis

So for the guys reading this, if you have a sister, a girlfriend, a wife or your partner, and she uses menstraul pain to blackmail you, I think you know what to do, let's stop them from blackmailing we guys.
