I never thought about it while being on a plane, but it makes perfect sense! I'm glad that I always wash my hands and carry a hand sanitizer with me when I'm travelling! I really like your SARS example, no wonder that some might get sick with so many people in such a small airplane.
Yeah, hand washing seems to be the #1 way to prevent communicable disease transmission on planes. Makes sense but still good info to keep in mind.
Fortunately SARS isn't a problem anymore, but its a bit scary seeing how it can spread.
