I'm intrigued by this design from Airbus.
Because even if some debris parts are only as big as a grain of rice, they develop enormous kinetic energies through the emerging speeds, which would have catastrophic consequences when colliding with a satellite or spacecraft.
The possibility the above statement really demands such development.

this invention is only to capture satellites and other big things. the problem is just all these little scrap parts. catching them will be the next step but the question will be how to do that.
Oh... That's the big deal as those things pose more threat as I imagine.
