NASA : 75,000 Miles Wide Super Massive Coronal Hole on the Sun!!
Today, as my new post in Steemit, I am posting about a Mission of extremes which will lead to a new era of exploration and it's exciting to see what kind of new information the mission will provide for the safety and protection of our planet. Please go through it to know more about it with a positive attitude in mind.
You know? When we were a little and we see a light bulb or we see a candle light and we just want to touch anything! Our parents smack our hand and say no that burns. But then we go and touch it anyway because I don't know I guess we all love touching shiny things and in this Galaxy, there's nothing more shiny and luminous then of course the Sun and of course in previous years NASA has visited were sent probes to many extraordinary places in space from neighboring Planets, even Comets and Asteroids.
First of all NASA found a massive 75,000 mile wide hole and the hole is in the Sun. So, if that sunspot was a sinkhole and if the earth was a car; it will fall right in. Also this colossal Sun's is so big that NASA even gave it a name AR2665. Now the problem with this giant sunspot is that it's capable of producing Solar Flares that could cause radio blackouts here on earth.
NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured this picture of the Sun on June 18, showing a huge coronal hole – seen here in dark blue - spread out over almost the entire upper left quadrant of the Sun. A coronal hole is an area of the Sun's atmosphere, the corona, where the magnetic field opens up and the material flows quickly out. This results in a cooler and less dense atmosphere than the surrounding areas. This coronal hole is at least 400,000 miles across, which is more than 50 Earths side by side. Coronal hole spew out fast solar wind, probably traveling at about 400-500 miles per second. This is roughly twice the speed of the normal solar wind, the solar material that is constantly streaming off the sun in every direction to fill the solar system.
These coronal hole are important to understanding the space environment around Earth through which our technology and astronauts travel. Coronal hole are the source of a high-speed wind of solar particles that streams off the Sun some three times faster than the slower wind elsewhere. While it’s unclear what causes coronal hole, they correlate to areas on the sun where magnetic fields soar up and away, without looping back down to the surface, as they do elsewhere.
So the more intense the magnetic activities, the more likely sunspots tend to appear and here's the problem when all that energy is released solar flares in storms erupt which are essentially massive solar is a Coronal Mass Ejection : CME. In a really powerful one could even send us back to the dark ages.
Now imagine that two-hour blackout you experienced I mean that was already pretty enough right with no internet no iPhone. But imagine a complete global blackout for years that could mean the destruction of our social water and maybe even our entire civilization.
According to physicist Pete Riley who published a paper titled on the Probability of Occurrence of Extreme Space Weather Events; he calculated that the odds of a solar storm is strong enough to disrupt our lives in the next 10 years is around 12 percent.

Man, don't blame me on that. Maybe the real reason is that you're using upvoting bots and you have unnatural followers and after all nobody will upvote that kind of posts. My comments explaining acronyms have nothing to do with that.
