Ok, so what exactly were you guys doing? Just documenting the layers for class? No rock hounds among you? Any fossils? Quartz stringers or other veins? Agates?
Geology is amazing, especially out here in the West where you an see a lot of it.

We actually did see some fossils, I’ll make a post soon, they weren’t anything crazy just clams, but yea we look at an outcrop and just figure what we are looking at and make our own descriptions then get graded on it.
