Aside from the fac that yet again Nature proves how complex, delicate and yet efficient it is .. I was fascinated to see that photo of the evolving corn cob. Something I'd never considered before, and yet I'm aware of several other vegetables which look quite different today.

The domesticaon of corn and wheat are both rather fascinating things. Wheat has a rather wonderful mess of a genome and don't even get me started on rye, aka the weed that decided to not be a weed.
