Steam Power Plant
The steam power station is the vital source to provide the electricity. the most important portion of electricity demand is consummated by the steam power station. it's also referred to as as thermal power station. It provides the electricity demand to different areas.-Mechanical Booster
A generating station which converts heat energy of coal combustion into electrical energy is known as a steam power station.

Advantages:
- The fuel (i.e. coal) is quite cheap.
- Less initial cost compared to others.
- It can be installed at any place because coal can be transported to the site by rail or road.
- It required less space compared to others .
- Generation cost is less than Diesel power plant.
Disadvantages:
- It pollutes the atmosphere due to the production of smoke and fumes.
- It is expensive in running cost as compared to hydroelectric plant
