Honey (pronounced in French: / mjɛl / [1]) is a sweet substance made by honey bees from nectar [2], [3], [4] or honeydew [5], [6]. They store it in the hive and feed on it throughout the year, especially during bad weather. It is also consumed by other animal species, including the human species that organizes its production by raising honey bees.
