Health benefits of Garlic

in #steemstem6 years ago

Exactly Seven (7) days ago, I fell ill and refused taking orthodox medicines/drugs. I had to resort to herbs and food therapy for a quick healing with no side effect in the long term.
I chewed so many Garlic and even ate them like it was some kind of "Strawberry" flavoured sweets.
Of course, I enjoyed every bit of my 'Chewing session' and guess what happened?
I got my healing....
Let me share some unknown potentials that accrues from Garlic consumption.
Meanwhile, you mustn't necessarily follow my style.

Intensely aromatic and flavorful, Garlic is used in some cuisine in the world. When eaten raw, it has a powerful, pungent flavor to match the truly mighty garlic benefits. Garlic is particularly high in certain sulfur compounds that are believed to be responsible for its scent and taste, as well as its very positive effects on human health.

SOME HEALTH BENEFITS OF GARLIC

  • Garlic is useful in combatting Cancer
Allium vegetables, especially garlic and onions, and their bioactive sulfur compounds are believed to have effects at each stage of cancer formation and affect many biological processes that modify cancer risk.
  • Garlic for Colds and Infections
Experiments have shown that garlic (or specific chemical compounds like allicin found in garlic) is highly effective at killing countless microorganisms responsible for some of the most common and rarest infections, including the common cold. Garlic actually might help prevent colds as well as other infections
  • Garlic Enhances Immunity
Garlic may be the true VIP when it comes to enhancing your immunity, as it successfully kills a wide range of bacteria that cause infections, including those as common as the cold to much rarer and hardly ever seen strains. This boost in immunity is due to the presence of the compound allicin, which in addition to killing these microbes, also prevent infections from occurring in the first place. Allicin also possesses anti-fungal and anti-viral properties, making it an all-round immunity booster.

  • Garlic removes Heavy Metal Toxins From The Body
Heavy metals are extremely toxic, and have a way of embedding themselves in deep fat layers and in organ tissue. This is very troublesome, as it can cause a host of untoward effects, ranging from cancer to organ failure and more. Garlic can help to chelate these heavy metals and promote their excretion by the body.

  • Garlic Is Good For Your Liver
Garlic assists the liver with production of enzymes necessary for detoxification. Garlic is good for remedying non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, helping the organ to function optimally once more.
