World's Defense Strategy and Capabilities Development across the Globe: Is it a threat for the humanity?

Giving the Indo-Russia Defense cooperation a major boost exercise into 2017, the first ever Tri Services Exercise joint exercise between Indian and Russian armed forces is being conducted in the Eastern Military District of Russia.

The largest ever Indian army contingent reached Russia for its first ever Tri Service exercise. India has termed exercise into 2017 as a landmark event of India-Russia Defense cooperation. The Indian contingent comprise of 350 personnel of the Indian Army, 80 Indian Air force personnel and 480 Indian Navy personnel. Two IL 76 aircraft and one Frigate from the Navy. The Navy leads special forces are also a part of the team. The Russian Federation Armed Forces is represented by approximately 1000 troops of the fifth army as well as marine and ships of Pacific fleet and aircraft from the Eastern Military Districts.

Russia’s S 400 air defense systems consists of 4 missile systems to cover the entire range of air defense Anglo, but India has decided to procure only two missile types. According to latest media reports India has decided to procure only the very long-range missile from Russia 40N6 which has a range of 400 Km and the long range 48N6 having a range of 250 Km. A final agreement is expected by end of this year under which India will purchase 5 regiments of S400 systems consisting of 1200 missiles all made up of 40N6 and 48N6 missile systems. In India S400 will be under the command of Indian Airforce and the selection of 40N6 and 48N6 are the measures that are taken to improve long range air defense capabilities.

According to the Trump’s Administration, the US has decided to release the Electromagnetic Launch Systems for the Indian Navy’s future aircraft carrier. The Trump’s Administration has informed India of its decision. Due to its flexible architecture it can launch a wide variety of aircraft weights and can be used on a variety of platforms with different capable configurations. Aerospace experts had told earlier that General Atomic is planning to open an office in India to support the Indian Government’s Military requirements. The Indian Navy plans to integrate the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System into its future super carriers.
