Oh yes, we definitely head South for the winter. Most of the auctions are heavy equipment auctions. It's really cool to see all these huge earth moving machines lined up in a lot. It's fun to watch people bid hundreds of thousands of dollars on them too. Even used they are quite pricey!
wow. oh yes I know that heavy equipment costs a bloody fortune but I'm a little confused, I thought you were in the travel agency business?
I am. But I'm also with a freight brokerage. I go to the auctions with the brokerage, and often tack on fun excursions for the travel agency part. :-)
oh my gosh what a way to do it mattifer! haha! that is brilliant and I hope you can go to auctions all over the South for the entire winter!
Thank you! I hope so too! There's a big one in Florida in February. It lasts a whole week. That's one of my favorites.

I haven't done one yet, but I plan to sometime soon. I have so many things to write about! I'm trying to blog about my Europe trip in the order that I did it, so I'll probably get started on the auctions when I'm finished with that. There's always something else to write about. :-)
