I appreciate that you address the chemistry of how splitting boron damages the cancerous cells. Me being ever curious, however, do you know why an alpha particle and lithium nucleus would damage a cell?
when the boron-10 is split into alpha particle and lithium, there is a release of energy. It is this energy that is capable of damaging the cell where boron is
