I have a number of viruses to test in the future but, for now, my lab is going to focus on the interferon signaling pathway (major antiviral branch of innate immunity) and autophagy (which can be antiviral in some instances). Screens have shown that as many as 40 of the 80 TRIM proteins encoded in the human genome can regulate interferon signaling and autophagy.
