The funny thing about studying this is, that now, after two years and basically just missing my master thesis, I still feel like I barely scratched the surface of the subject.

Yeah, even though there were a lot of breakthroughs in the last century (especially understanding how the brain works), but this fundamental question about consciousness is still open.
