What's up with the parrots

There are some things you should know to get to know parrots better.

The word parbo probiene of the Taino (Roro) that was like some Central American aborigines called the colorful birds that had the ability to repeat the words of the humans, the name they gave him does not have a specific meaning and is thought to have called them that by the "roro" onomatopella that is sometimes heard.

The parrots are members of the order of the psittaciformes which includes 350 species of birds among these parrots guacamayos cacatuas and parakeets, if all these birds are parrots, they all think that the parrots are only those that are found in the amazons that are colored green as shown in the following image :

Although there is a great variety of parrot species and they are quite different they all have some things in common such as the bent beak and the zydodactyl toes that have two fingers pointing forward and two fingers pointing backwards this is very useful for them that makes it easy to take something.

Although they abound in the warm zones of the southern hemisphere also parrots are found in the north of mexico and in some few places that are cold the greater variety is found in South America, Central America and Australia as well as New Zealand that has one of the parrots more strangers that is the kakapo that is the only species of parrot that can not fly because it is very big and heavy and that if you wear green you can be confused with your partner.

Parrots are very colorful and attractive birds together with their sociability to imitate human speech has made them very chosen beings as very good pets, if they are very sociable and also monkeys in the wild they usually live in groups and in these they select the couple with which they will spend the rest of their lives, for a wild parrot the solitude is very rare and when they are used as pets they develop a special bond with only one person, even though the parrots imitate human speech they do not have larynx with oral cords in their link these birds have syrinx which allows them to expel sound by expelling air from the mouth of a windpipe but not only imitate human speech but also sounds like the cry of a baby and other animals, the The best imitator of the parrots is the gray African parrot, almost any variety of sounds up to special effects.

In the wild parrots use the imitation of sounds as a communication system, in mating, to mark their territory and for other things, the size of their brain equivalent to their body is comparable to that of some primates so it is estimated that They are one of the most intelligent birds, which is why they are able to use tools and some other additional things.

No matter how much you think that your parrot is happy as a pet, do not believe much because these animals tend to become aggressive because they are not adapted to live with us completely. They are animals that continue to grow wild and once they are raised outside of their life it is almost impossible to return to the, the traffic of these birds has made their species almost on the verge of extinction because all these should not be used as pets but if you already have them well, not the avandones so long and not the axes so much time in a cage.

Well with this we ended up with you knew that parrots I hope you like and remember to comment and leave your vote!

You get an up vote for posting the Kakapo, the only nocturnal flightless parrot out of them all. I do love them... and parrots in general. I rehab a couple of unruly rescues so stop by my blog. They always make for some funny stories. Lol.

Nice post! Was looking for more bird people around here to connect with.
