EPA gives thumbs up to Drinking Water Pollution
Under the new guidelines, the improper disposal of chemicals; leading to the contamination of drinking water, for instance; will not be a factor in deciding whether to restrict or ban dangerous chemicals. Nancy B. Beck, who oversees the E.P.A.’s toxic chemical unit, previously worked at one of the industry’s main lobbying groups. Critics note the new guidance is absurd as “You can’t determine if there is an unreasonable risk without doing a comprehensive risk evaluation"! A collection of more than a dozen groups are suing the E.P.A. to challenge earlier changes in the toxic chemical evaluation program.
With the slippery slope we are on now with how we are impacting the planet, less restrictions and regulations on profit centered chemical companies is the way to go?
This looks like a way to reduce the lawsuits related to the most provable offenses (direct contact/results/legal action) to keep company profits from being spent on court cases. Then, soften the restrictions around slower destructive actions like improper disposal which lead to longer term and potentially more widespread damage.

Wow, the issue of chemicals is really worrying. To contaminate the potable water would put in risk the life of many communities, also it affects the alive beings that make life in the water.
I think the industry should be more responsible and not pollute the waters. At the same time, the government must create mechanisms that ensure that this is fulfilled.
I am compassionate towards her inhuman psychopathology and advise a chemical solution.
What a nightmare, now Pharma companies can dump their shit where they can harm more people and not gain class lawsuit action as retaliation.
It is very dangerous for the survival of living beings. There must be the right action to remove harmful chemicals.
