Remember folks, if you get Clostridium difficile you can replenish your gut's immune system by having a poop transplant. Ask your doctor if donor poop is right for you!

Great article though, pretty eye-opening and it makes sense that a strain that can exist on such an energy source can out-compete organisms that are only used to other sugars that seem to be more easily digested.

Thanks for writing it, I'd only ever read about people getting it as a result of the aftermath of a round of antibiotics, so this was pretty informative on how that might not be the case.
