Raising funds to finance the start-up of a project has always been the number one challenge faced by project initiators, most often, the one and only, because it cripples completely the yet crawling project. I had a solid idea some months back to create a software that basically marks and records classroom attendance by face recognition and also act as a check-in and check-out register for members of staff also through face recognition via cameras placed at strategic positions. This required me to have skills in machine learning of python programming language. Excited about this idea, I delved into python language, learning the basics first and then to Scikit-learn, a python library for machine learning. Although this gathering of information has been interesting, it is taking too much time and I feel the idea is gradually fading out because it no longer feels exciting as it did when i conceived it.
