Cool article, nice way to use a fun topic to introduce some education :) Not sure what the benefit/harm ratio is for the plants with that much ammonia though, it's probably better to use it in small quantities.

As for the ammonia, yes it can be harmful so you should avoid daily use and apply it dilluted in water, I don't remember the ratio of course, but there are lots of sites giving instructions.
