I often wonder if we are something like bacteria to an enormously huge organism. Now I have this image of little bacteria dudes flinging spears at each other while wearing furs stuck in my head!

I nearly went on pixabday to see if I could kludge together a very similar image to what you describe! With reference to the enormously huge organism, have you ever heard of the Gaia hypothesis?
I just read the wikipedia article, I have heard of the theory before, but I didn't read it about it in details. I never knew a lot in the areas of biology and chemistry so I am learning them bit by bit. I was always more of a history, philosophy and physics guy :)
Let's make a deal then, you keep writing great articles to close the gaps in my knowledge of history and philosophy (which I've found particularly hard to find a good entry-level survey of), and I'll do the same for biology and chemistry.
Haha, nice deal. I am currently writing history and mythology posts, but I am afraid that I don't feel at ease with philosophy enough to write posts about it.
