Broccoli is one of all the numerous edible green plant. The name Broccoli was gotten from an italian word which is the plural of Broccolo meaning THE FLOWERING CREST OF A CABBAGE. You will never want to exclude Broccoli if you have a vegetable garden because of its natural benefit to the human health most especially the brain and its productivity. Broccolli produce one large head, which is harvested and after produces another three to four smaller side shoot.

Broccoli can give you the nutrient you need for a whole day, It can be called a mini-tree because it comes in different varieties,which are:

  • Purple Cauliflower
  • Sprouting broccoli

They belongs to the Italica Cultivar group of Brassicaceae oleracea and it taste mildly bitter just like cabbage because it contains glucosinolates which is a natural compound.
