ANIMALS CONTRIBUTIONS TO HUMAN LIFE

Human found it interesting having animals (most especially the domestic ones) around because they provide something of VALUE. Animals provides manure, fibers, hides and other by-products. And their most significant productivity are Meat, Fishes, Eggs, Milk, Leathers e.t.c either for subsistence or commercial use.

I am pleased to tell you that Animals make us Human.

Diets based on meat, eggs and dairy products contain proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins present in appropriate amounts and readily digestible forms to meet all human nutritional requirements. In the past, animal protein was considered essential in human diets but recent knowledge suggests that this is not absolutely true. A highly diversified vegetarian diet can also provide all necessities but these may be obtained more readily through consumption of some animal products. It must be conceded, however, that most people enjoy eating meat and dairy products and do so by choice rather than through absolute necessity. Source

We have more than hundreds of Mammalian species that contributes to the production of consumable commodities such as sheep, cattle, pig, goats, equines, cameloids, buffaloes and the number of contribution becomes larger when some other exotic birds such as guinea fowl, pigeons cornish hens and expands more with fresh and salt water fish, shrimp,crabs, oysters, squid, clam, frogs even including Honey bees. The whole contributions from domestic animals excluding the proportion derived from plants, is still very plentiful, providing approximately 34% of proteins consumed by human and 16% of food energy supply.

Domesticated animals provide many material such as wool and leathers which are the most abundant products and feathers and pearls are still very much demand for decoration. Even their waste products are not waste, their waste are valuable because they can be used for some other things.

Animal manure, although often referred to as a waste product in industrialized countries, is valuable for use as fuel, fertilizer or building material. Many Asian and some African livestock owners mix cattle, buffalo, yak or camel dung with straw and dry this into convenient-sized cakes or blocks for use as a cooking or heating fuel. Animal manure can be placed in fermentation chambers to generate methane gas and in some regions dung mixed with mud or clay forms building materials. Probably the most universal and principal use for manure is as fertilizer.Source

BEES; I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

I'd love to talk about an animal, it actually an insect and it plays a vital role in the food we take in even if most people never realize it. They help plants through a process called pollination in agriculture(cross pollination)

And am happy to tell you that the value of BEE pollination in the United State agricultural sector is more than 14 billion dollars every year. And do not forget that Bees also makes Honey from the nectar of plants gathered by Bee keepers.

And the benefits gotten from Honey produced by BEE's is a wow! to our health.

Honey is a natural sweetener and a good form of energy,it's a good source of carbohydrate that provides energy to the muscles. Bees also produces Wax which is used in the production of shoe polish, floor wax, crayons, lip gloss and even chewing gums.

When Bees bite you. Yeah!!! it painful but do you know? that Bee venom is very useful for human health. it is recommended for rheumatoids, multiple sclerosis, nerve pains(neuralgia) and muscles conditions like enthesitis and fibromyositis.

Animals makes us Human because we get a lot of nutritional benefits from them.
