RE: Pathogens on planes: Does air travel make you sick?

"Lol" and "party pooper" is what I thought as soon as I started reading! But it turns out air is mostly fine in airplanes :(

A good investigative and entertaining article, I'm sure everyone identifies not only with the general gist of being worried about cabin air, but also with the particulars you describe in the second paragraph.

Seeing the cargo compartment image, is that where pets often travel? (or is that called something else and cargo is strictly for suitcases?) I wonder if there's a higher chance they'll get sick. I know from experience that persian cats often arrive with a cold, though that could be due to a variety of reasons.

Airplane! A classic! 👍

Glad someone got the Airplane! references :). I think pets go in a separate cargo compartment that's kept a bit warmer than main one underneath passengers, but I'm not sure. It still could be below the passengers, just in a cordoned off part of the plane.
