RE: Sex Differences: Does the Chromosome Maketh the Man?
I'm in favor of anyone marrying anyone they want to anyway. I'll even approve of a man/seal union if the man can demonstrate consent on the part of the seal. ) To me it's one of those non-issues that are probably designed to divert attention from the real issues.
(Note: After a complaint, I must state here that the man/seal union example above is clearly meant as a joke: I by no means equate the union of same-sex persons with the union of persons and animals. And by saying it's a non-issue I meant it's an issue that is solved in my mind, although I recognize that human rights and discrimination struggles in society are obviously not non-issues.)
Alexander it wasn't a complaint but rather a suggestion and I appreciate the clarification you have made. Of course you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. As an academic, I view freedom of speech as one of the valued principles of academia.
I realize now the comment was flippant, and sometimes text does not come across the way it was intended.
No hard feelings.
Cheers!

While on the subject of free speech here is a great quote:
“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
