How Does Pollution Affect Humans in the society?

What is pollution?
Pollution simply means contamination of air, soil, water and the general environment. loud noise and sound is also a part of what is called pollution.
Since humans share everything on Earth with every living thing on the planet earth 🌍 , anything that happen in one community affects every other thing too, no matter how far away on the same planet earth. Pollution which is the introduction of different forms of waste materials in the environment has a negative effects on the ecosystem we humans rely on.
There are varieties of pollution, but the most impactful ones are Air and Water pollution.

Effects of air pollution
''Different types of chemicals that goes into the atmosphere when we fossil fuels we use day in day out is combust. We take in and take out air inorder to survive on earth and what we taken in has a direct impact on human health.

• Taking in and out of polluted air puts you at a higher risk for asthma and other respiratory diseases.
• Air pollutants are often carcinogens and residing in a polluted area can put people at a high tendency of Cancer.
• Coughing and sneezing are common signs observed on people residing in urban areas.
• Damages the immune system and reproductive systems.
• High levels of particle pollution have been associated with higher incidents of human heart problems in the society.
• The burning of fossil fuels and the release of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are causing the earth to become warmer.
• The toxic chemicals released into the air settle into plants and water sources. Animals eat the contaminated plants and drink the water. The poison then travels up the food chain to humans.''
  

Effects of water pollution
''We need very clean water to drink, to breed our crops and the fish we eat live in the waters. Humans have fun in different rivers, streams and lakes, we reside near bodies of water. It is a natural raw material that can easily be contaminated and with this it can transfer contamination to us in which will have negative effect on our health. Diseases such as typhoid, hookwarmand amoebasis are caused by polluted drinking water. Water contaminated by chemicals such as heavy metals, lead, pesticides and hydrocarbon can cause hormonal and reproductive problems, damage to the nervous system, liver and kidney damage. Being exposed to mercury causes Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, heart disease and death. A polluted beach causes rashes, hepatitis, gastroenteritis, diarrhea, encephalitis, stomach aches and vomiting. Water pollution affects our marine life which is one of human food sources. We live in an ecosystem where the action of one has the potential to affect the many. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on what the action is. Our mistakes has polluted the environment that we live in and we are waking up and owning to the fact. We are trying to reverse the damage. The good news is that every positive action counts. The small effort you make towards a greener environment can start a healing ripple effect. We may still save what is left of our natural resources and make the world a better place to live in for our future generation.''
