Not bad, I'm reminded of the concept willful blindness. People accepting questionable facts that are congruent to what they already believe in rather than question what they already believe to be true. I wouldn't touch the conspiracy theory subject topic head on, I don't dwell on it but your points could be applied to everyday situations outside conspiracy theory. Well done :D
