EISENHOWER MATRIX

Eisenhower matrix also known as Eisenhower box is a simple decision making tool.

This famous strategy was formulated by Dwight Eisenhower, the 34th President of U.S. This enabled him to be more produtive and aid his decision making when he has a lot of tasks to accomplish.

The Eisenhower matrix allows one to make and execute decisions based on two factors:

• How urgent the task is.
• How important the task is.

• An important and urgent task is to be carried out immediately.

• An urgent but not important task can be delegated to someone else to carry out.

• An important but not urgent task can be scheduled to be carried out later on.

• Tasks that are not urgent and are not important can be eliminated or cancelled out of the list.
