EAGLES and its mythical REBIRTH
I think this animal has two life bars.
Is it the only living thing gifted The Second Chance somehow in the real sense? Then this is a must read.
According to myths, it is considered as the King of the Skies.
It is often used to symbolize Courage, Strength , Power and also in Heraldy as a Charge, Supporter and Crest.
It is known as the Eagle.
In my country, in the tribe where I come from, we call it Asa - /Asha/
Eagles
Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey - raptors with heavy heads and beaks. They relatively have longer and more evenly broad wings making their flight faster and more direct.
Most Eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some species of Vultures. Like other raptors, they have large hooked beaks for nipping flesh from their prey, strong muscular hind limbs and powerful talons for grasping and a superb, powerful sharp eye for hunting.
Eagles are often grouped into four.
• Fish eagles feeding mainly on fishes
• Booted eagles with feathered tarsi(part of foot between leg and foot)
• Snake eagles feeding mainly on reptiles
• Harpy eagles inhabiting in tropical forests.
Some common known species of Eagles include:
• Martial eagle
• Golden eagle
• Phillipine eagle
• White-tailed eagle
• White-bellied sea-eagle
• Imperial eagle
• Harpy eagle
Eagles normally build nests in very tall trees or on high cliffs.
They often hunt for snakes, fishes, small mammals and ungulates and other birds. Amazingly, they can grab their prey without landing and takeoff with it.
Eagles may kill preys about five times its size. It was once documented that an Eagle killed a lamb and deer fawn as it food. Then it dawned upon me the meaning of a prayer my folks usually say to one another –“asa oni gbe wa l’omo oo” meaning “an eagle will not take our child away from us”. This means that tho’, they have actually experienced the killing of large preys by Eagles, there have been no report based on the killing of babies or children by eagles.
Here are some other fascinating, mind-blowing features I read on Eagles.
• They have a keen view and can spot an object about 50 miles away.
• They are fearless. It has been observed that most raptors such as hawks look back over their shoulders before striking a prey or shortly after. They Eagle doesn’t do this when hunting.
• They can kill a prey up to five times their size. If they are unable to fly with them, they eat them there at the spot or carry them to their nests in bits.
• They do not scavenge or eat dead meat except the ones they kill themselves.
• They can fly up to an altitude of 10,000m which can be achieved by no other bird but themselves.
• When the wind current is strong, other birds avoid the wind, but the Eagle spreads it wings wide apart and glide along with the wind.
And now the main reason for writing this article- I think the eagle has two life bars.
I must say, this “Eagle rebirth” issue is a myth except if someone has a solid, convincing evidence to back this claim up.
This claim believes that the Eagle can live up to 70 years.
The rebirth entails the eagle reaching the age of 30(this is the normal average lifespan of an eagle) when all its physical features are in bad form. Its beak dull, talons blunt unable to grasp properly, wing feathers heavy and sticks to skin making flight hard.
Then the eagle flies to a mountain and goes through a painful process for 5 to 6 months, bangs its beak on a rock till it break to grow a new efficient one, breaks its talons for a new sharp one, plucks out all its feathers with its beak for new light ones well-fashioned for flight.
Now, here are some facts that disregard all the processes stated above.
• The older (after the peak of strength like between the age of 28 and 40 in man) an animal becomes, the more it loose its vigour and strength. i.e muscles weaken, strength, ability and agility deteriorate.
• Like all animals, they molt. Their processes of molting occur by shedding old and growing new feathers naturally. A feather that was shed naturally would regrow faster than a mechanically removed one which may damage the hair follicle.
• Their beaks and talons are made of keratin (like our finger nails) which keeps growing throughout its life time not once in its lifetime.
• All the painful process if fruitful will still not change their strength, agility and ability to survive, feed or adapt to conditions.
There you go, the Eagle is a great creature and a fascinating representative of the Birds but it does undergo anything such as its REBIRTH as acclaimed.

EAGLE and its mythical REBIRTH
I didn't know about this rebirth story (and it is thus good ;) ). Very interesting post!
Yeah! Indeed.
I never knew the rebirth was a myth. I actually thought it was a fact.
Thanks a lot for the comment.
