Last summer, we saw big moves happened affecting the league today big time. LeBron to the Lakers, Cousins to the Warriors, and more. Those changes changed the league so much that we are now watching the Lakers having a great start and looking like getting back to relevance. Next summer, another huge and stacked free agency is coming and a lot of big names are on the list of free agents. Today, I am going to give you my list of the top free agents for 2019.
Kevin Durant
Yes. It's given. Kevin Durant is on the top of this list as he is set to be an unrestricted free agent next summer and will surely leave the Warriors according to rumors. Durant already got what he wants with the Warriors, 2 championships is enough and he probably might get his 3rd this season. There are rumors that the Lakers is his top destination but Durant might not want the idea of teaming up with LeBron James in L. A. Another possible destination for him is New York. I think that's the best option for him to revive his reputation again with a chance to bring the Knicks again to the playoffs.

Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi is currently having a great time with the Toronto Raptors and he is having a hell of a season while still getting used to and the Raptors system and still in the learning process having chemistry with his new team mates. His decision isn't clear right now and we don't know what he wants. There's a huge possibility that he stays with Toronto despite having a desire to play for the Clippers in Los Angeles. I think the result of this season will take a huge effect in Kawhi's decision so we will just have to wait and see after this season ends.

Kyrie Irving
Kyrie already stated and announced that he will stay in Boston next season in front of their fans in TD Garden. But I don't think it's already guaranteed. There's still a lot of things to consider and a lot of chance to play with other top free agents on the same team. And also, Kyrie already had a history of doing this kind of things and not sticking with his words. He already done that in Cleveland but he still left. I don't see him being sure in his decision until he ink a deal.

Klay Thompson
Klay Thompson is one of the best shooting guard in the NBA right now and many teams will be making a run to get his services. The Lakers are aiming in getting Klay and making him a priority next summer. Thompson is still unsure if he will stay in Golden State. The Warriors will have a huge problem keeping their core together and they don't have enough money to keep all of them together. Klay is overshadowed by Durant and Curry so he might think that it's time for him to move on and try another team to show his talent.
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy looks really fit with the Philadelphia 76ers now and he seemed to be happy there but that is not enough to say he's sure to sign with them next summer. Jimmy is one of the best two-way players, maybe top 3 behind PG13 and Kawhi and many teams will be interested in acquiring him. If Philly failed to achieved anything significant this season, Butler might be on the move. But teaming up with stars like Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid might as well be a sure contention in the future and Jimmy might consider that to sign a long-term deal with the Sixers.
DeMarcus Cousins
Cousins recently signed a small deal with the Golden State Warriors obviously to have a joy ride for a sure finals appearance and win a championship there. He sacrificed a lot of money this season for that and he is set to be a free agent again in 2019. We still haven't seen him play this season after a season ending injury last season with the Pelicans but he is nearing to come back on the hard court before Christmas. Now, if he still plays at a high level like last season, many teams will be eager to get him to be starting center. If he leaves the Warriors, maybe the Warriors can sign Klay or Durant but is is not guaranteed because all three of them might have another team on mind.
Kemba Walker
Kemba Walker is having a hell of a season this year. This is his best season so far in his career and I think he just entered his prime. Kemba should just walk away in free agency and sign with another team who can give him a chance to showcase his talent in the playoffs. He needs to sign in a team who can contend and compete. He should leave Charlotte to get the best out of his prime years because if he stays in Charlotte his talents in his prime years will just be wasted. Kemba is averaging 26 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists this season and just scored 50 points in one game. Kemba can now be list as one of the elite point guards in the NBA and one of the best scorers today so I think it will not be hard for him to find a new home and bring his talents to where it should be.

Al Horford
Al Horford has a player option in his contract and he can sign elsewhere in the 2019 free agency but that is not a great move for him to do in my opinion. He is well fitted in Boston and I think the best place for him is where he is right now. The Celtics did a great job in utilizing Horford’s talent and we have to give credit to their great coach Brad Stevens. Horford in my opinion is a little bit under rated. He is a talented big man with outside shooting who can do what he’s asked to do. He is a good player on both ends of the floor so if he decided to leave the Celtics many teams will go and try to pick him up.
LaMarcus Aldridge
Aldridge will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. LaMarcus still hasn’t found success in San Antonio. He still hasn’t win anything significant. The Spurs is a great team but I don’t see them winning in the playoffs this season. Aldridge should try a different path in my opinion because at his age, he’s still a top tier power forward in the league who can give huge number every night.
