The transfer window. That period of two months where managers can tweak their team till they get desired results. The top teams of the EPL have been busy adding new faces to their teams, but is that enough? Even though the transfer window is still open for another month, we take a look at the completed deals and also, the positions the teams still need to fill, so that they can become title challengers next season.

Arsenal

Arsenal finished sixth last season, causing them to miss out on Champions League football. This meant the transfer season would be tricky, as most players now want Champions League football.
Completed Deals: Arsenal have brought in two players this window. They brought in Alexander Lacazette from Lyon to solve their attacking problems, and also Sean Kolasnic to beef up their defence. These buys are quite good, especially Lacazette. He is known to be a prolific scorer, and only time will tell if he can be the number 9 Arsenal has been wanting.
Needs: Arsenal needs a standard team if they want to challenge for the league. But Arsene Wenger will never spend extravagantly, so we can only expect one or two more buys from him. They also cannot afford to let Alexis Sanchez leave. Rumors suggest he is unhappy at Arsenal and wants to play Champions League football, but Arsene Wenger cannot afford to lose him.
They need a Central Midfielder. With Santi Carzola out for so long, he cannot be expected to return to optimum performance this season. They also need a tested and trusted winger. Chamberlain and Walcott cannot win them the league.

Chelsea

EPL Champions, Chelsea, have had quite a busy transfer window. They sold their upcoming Defender and second choice keeper, Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth. There are also rumors that main forward, Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic are no longer wanted.
Completed Deals: Chelsea have managed to replace everyone they no longer need. They brought in Willy Caballero from Man City to be their second keeper, Timeoune Bakayoko to replace Nemanja Matic and Rudiger to replace Gary Cahill. They are also close to signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid to replace Diego Costa, who has fallen out with the coach.
Needs: Chelsea are competing in more competitions this year than last year, so they will need a better squad if they plan on defending their title.
They need a right back. Victor Moses was good last season, but they will need a better seasoned right back. They will also be wanting another winger.

Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has turned Liverpool around. Finishing fourth last season, Liverpool have a good chance to play amongst Europe’s elite in the Champions League next season, and with what they played last season, they have shown that they can be title contenders for this coming season. Liverpool hasn’t sold any major players and have added some new faces.
Completed Deals: Liverpool brought in fast paced winger, Mohammad Salah, from Roma. Also, they brought in youngster Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
Needs: Liverpool needs to stock up on their defense. If they hope to go far in the Champions League, they need to buy some top-class defenders. Also, they might want to get a proper striker, even though they have mastered the art of playing with a false 9.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has a vision for what his team is to look like, and he has been spending all summer making sure he has the team he wants. He released Caballero, Zabaleta, Navas and Clichy at the start of the transfer window. Completed deals: A midfielder Bernado Silva, a goalkeeper Ederson and a right back Kyle Walker.
Needs: Manchester City arguably has the best team in England right now. They had a lot of injury worries last season and still managed to finish third. A lot of their injured players will be returning to action at the start of the new season, so they do not need a lot of players. They will need a left back, to supplement their backline.

Manchester United

Jose Mourinho won three trophies in his first season in charge at Manchester United. He will be hoping to win more trophies in this new season. The club released veteran striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of last season, due to injury concerns. So, they will be aiming to build a stronger squad for the new season.
Completed Deals: Manchester United have only brought in two new players, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof. Romelu Lukaku will be the man the team will be looking at to get the goals. Lindelof will partner Eric Bailly at the back. Is this the replacement for the Vidic and Ferdinand combo? Only time will tell
Needs: United still need a lot of players to boost the team. They need a full back, a midfielder that can hold and control the field, and also a natural winger. There are news that they are close to signing Inter Milan winger, Ivan Perisic.

Tottenham Hotspurs

Spurs haven’t made any signings yet. They have had a quiet transfer window. They however sold right back, Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50 million. They will be hoping to spend this money to boost their team.
Needs: Tottenham is a team of young players. The team is still developing and building chemistry. They have a solid starting 11. If they are to buy players, they will be looking to strengthen their bench.
The EPL Season kicks off on the 11th of August, with Arsenal kicking things off against Leicester City. So tell us, what else do you think your team needs?

Sort:

Ibrahimovic has been making noises about coming back to MU once he's fit again, so don't rule that out.

If Arsenal lose Sanchez, that would be devastating , and I think it would be a long road back to recover from something like that.

I have heard that Barcelona have been trying to pry Coutinho away from Liverpool. I sure hope that doesn't happen because he's been so good in the EPL - and that opinion is coming from a Man U guy!

I usually watch to place a bet~ Yeah!
Upvoted mate and hope to see you around~ cheers mate
