With under 5 seconds to go of a tumultuous and back and forth affair, Yair 'El Pantera' Rodriguez landed one of the nastiest knockout blows ever seen in the Octagon. The reverse, upward elbow delivered to the Korean Zombie's chin knocked him out cold!!!!
The wrath of Yair became evident when in the 5th round he knew he needed a finish. The fight was back and forth but Chan Sung Jung aka the Korean Zombie would have most likely taken the decision had it reached the card. Zombie was 5 seconds away from glory...

...but in a fight that's all it takes to get finished. This spectacle of a main event was simply the cherry on top of an incredible night. The 25th anniversary of the UFC took place in Denver this past Saturday night, and it was a beautiful ode to UFC 1 which was also a Denver event.
The canvas, the fighter tags, and the throwback tributes to fighters of old made this 25th anniversary show one of the best I've ever seen. There was tension, drama, and an explosive night of finishes all around. There are a few new superstars in the making, and on of them is Yair Rodriguez!

Many people doubted Yair coming back to fight for the UFC after he seemed to not care anymore, and he really seemed to not want to fight Zabit Magomedsharipov. The elite karate striker took the bout against the Korean Zombie instead, and there are many reason it simply made more sense.
KZ is a higher ranked fighter than Zabit, and there is also much more reward for the risks and stlyes posed. Yair lives in elevation so the thin air actually played to his advantage in a lot of ways. I love this guy's style so much, and El Pantera is abolutely here to stay!!!!

Donald Cerrone whom is a Denver, Colorado native himself landed a beautiful submission over the brutish Mike Perry. The two had camp beef rivaling and dating back to the time they had sparred together at Cowboy's ranch, and with that win, Donald Cerrone truly proved himself.
The Cowboy now has over 20 wins in the UFC and is the most winningest fighter in UFC history next to the likes of Aldo, Bisping, GSP and others! It was an incredible submission win for the now sensible, and ready to attain the lightweight belt next year Cowboy Cerrone!

If you haven't seen this event, check out a replay on UFC fight pass as it was one of the best of the year! Just an absolute blast with finishes and personas galore. The 25th anniversary was a beautiful culmination of martial arts and what the UFC is all about.. entertainment! Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @brandonk

The CRAZIEST FINISH EVER! I still can get over that elbow from hell landed in the last SECOND! It doesn’t get crazier than that! What a fight! Respect to both warriors.

This fight also proved just how good the zombie is! He was winning and yair is awesome, so respect ! I love the picture of them both in hospital together afterwards!

It was an amazing finish that's for sure.... this one will live on in fight history.

Absolutely

Yair is under rated.
