Word got out around 4 days ago that the veteran boxer David Haye had re-injured the same achilles tendon that led to his downfall in his initial match with David Bellew. The rematch is supremely hyped as Bellew is thought to have won by mostly his capitalization up David's injuries....a fight in which the Hayemaker was definitely landing the harder blows before he fell.
Bellew is a natural cruiserweight, and it is a shame that much of his victory has been detracted due to the fateful downfall of his foe...but it is necessary to realize that he wasn't necessarily winning the battle up until that point. Bellew will need to come out decisive with no doubt to beat David a second time around, we saw that he handled the power well, but he definitely slowed down himself towards the later rounds.

To hang with a true heavyweight that can pack an immense wallop, Bellew will not need to fall into the mind games and precursor of Haye's world, he will need to fall in line with only his training and the mind set to conquer. It has been a truly awesome lead up in terms of entertainment and pure hatred between the opponents, we are witnessing a possible change in guards and people can recognize the importance in a win for David Haye's legacy.
To lose to a naturally smaller fighter whom was never considered 'top class' in the heavyweight division would surely soil Hayemaker's career a bit, but there is credence to the man being older, and more breakable than he has ever been. It was painful to watch Haye struggle through his tendon practically snapping mid battle,he obviously fought through as much as he could, but his corner team was absolutely right in throwing in the towel for their fighter who was too brave for his own good.

Haye throwing out the injury scare is most likely another tactic in his book of tricks, he is a master tactician in all realms of life and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a complete fib. Regardless of the injury or not, we can only hope a prime Haye steps into the ring December 17th, it is what he deserves, the fans deserve, and even what Tony Bellew deserves....it is almost as though all parties are seeking redemption in their own way.

Haye is a tremendous boxer. I've been opportune to watch him fight. I think Bellew has a great chance this time!

Absolutely!
