Neymar da Silva Santos Junior; born 5 February 1992 is commonly known as Neymar or Neymar Jr. he is a Brazilian professional football player who plays for French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team.

Neymar came into lime light at a very young age at Santos; he made his professional debut at the age of 17. He helped Santos win two successive championships, a Copa de Brasil and the 2011 Copa Libertadores, that was Santos first continental title since 1963. He was twice named the South American footballer of the year, in 2011 and 2012 before moving to Spain to join Barcelona.

The services of Neymar were really sought after at that time with the two Spanish giants; Real Madrid and Barcelona were fighting over his signature, but Barcelona was able to convince him to sign for them as the prospect of playing with the amazing Lionel Messi was difficult to turn down. He won the continental treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League in the 2014-15 season, and won a double the following year. These performances earned him a third place finish in the race for the Ballon d’Or in 2015.

In August 2017, Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for reported fee of €222 million, which made him by far the most expensive footballer in the world. Just a year after the €100million mark was crossed when Manchester United bought Paul Pogba from Juventus, the €200million mark has been reached. It will be interesting to see which player will eventually break this massive transfer fee. Monaco’s Mbappe could come close, I also believe that Dortmund’s Dembele could also come close, but I'm yet to see a player that will command such a fee anytime soon except Lionel Messi decides to move on from Barcelona.

Neymar has scored an impressive 52 goals in 77 matches for Brazil since his debut at age 18. He is currently the fourth-highest goalscorer for his national team. He has won virtually everything for his country, a notable absence in the World Cup, and I fancy Brazil’s chances in Russia come 2018. He has won the Olympics and virtually everything at club level. If he can win the World Cup next summer and maintain or even improve his performances at club level, he could easily go down as one of the greatest players to kick a football.

He is known for his dribbling, finishing, and ability with both feet, there have been comparisons to former Brazil and Santos star Pelè. Off the pitch, Neymar ranks among the world’s most prominent sportsmen; SportsPro named him the most marketable athlete in the world in 2012 and 2013, and ESPN cited him as the world’s fourth-most famous athlete in 2016.

Still a little sad he decided to abandon Barcelona, but to each their own I guess. I hope he does well with PSG. They're getting a hell of a player that's for sure.

Thanks for introduction!

People may call him a 'snake' for abandoning Barca, but I think it was a pretty wise decision to move away from a club where he would always be on the periphery to a rapidly-improving club where he would be the central figure.

I think PSG will eventually win the Champions League. Give it a few years though.

I like neymar jr his my favourite footballer always I'm following him

Could You write also Beşiktaş's transfers for this season?

Thanks introduction
