Training camps are open and the start of the NFL will be here soon! I will breakdown the Fantasy Football Rankings by position over the next few days. Let's get started today with Quarterbacks!
1. Aaron Rodgers - Last year he had a slow start to the season. But the way he finished the year was incredible! Rodgers was on fire for the last ten games of the season. He threw 18 Touchdowns and 0 Interceptions. Overall last season, he completed 65.7% of his passes, threw for 4,428 yards and had an outstanding 40 Touchdowns to only 7 Interceptions. He has the best passer rating of all time and has his receiving core back. The Packers also added talent at Tight End with Martellus Bennett who will be a dangerous weapon. Rodgers will be hot out of the gate and should be the first QB off everyone's board.
2. Tom Brady - I feel a bit dirty by not having him at #1. After another brilliant Super Bowl win, there is no reason to think that Brady will slow down. Even though he is now 40 years old, he will continue to play at the highest level. Brady takes such good care of his body and health that he still has a handful of years in front of him on the field. His work ethic is incredible and no matter who he is throwing the ball too, he is extremely successful. The Patriots welcome Brandin Cooks at Wide Receiver. Cooks had huge success in New Orleans and will make an immediate impact. Brady has a chance to put up enormous touchdown totals this year and continue his hall of fame career.
3. Drew Brees - He is coming off of another good year in New Orleans. Similar to Brady, Brees is approaching the age that most Quarterbacks are retired. But Brees, 38, wants to continue playing until his mid 40’s. He threw for 325 yards per game last year and 37 Touchdowns. The Saints did lose Brandin Cooks to the Patriots but they added Adrian Peterson. That should take some pressure off of Brees and open up the passing game even more. I expect Brees to go back over the 40 Touchdown total this year. Playing in such a high power offensive division will only help inflate his numbers again this year.
4. Matt Ryan - After one of the worst collapses in professional sports history, how will Matt Ryan bounce back? The Atlanta Falcons were up by 4 Touchdowns in the Super Bowl. It looked like the had the game won, but then Tom Brady reminded the world why he is the best Quarterback of all time. The Falcons surround Ryan again this year with a ton of talent. They do have a new Offensive Coordinator in Steve Sarkisian, but there should be no major changes. I expect Matty Ice to come out firing! I think the Falcons will lead the NFL in scoring this year and keep their foot on the pedal. He should beat his 37 touchdown total from last year.
5. Derek Carr - He just keeps getting better and better each season. Carr is the dream example of what a coach and GM could hope for when they draft a quarterback. He threw for 28 Touchdowns and only 6 interceptions last year. With his phenomenal receiving core back, he will beat last year's numbers no doubt. The Raiders also added running back Marshawn Lynch and tight end Jared Cook. The Raiders are going to be one of the best teams in the AFC this year and Carr will be a fantastic quarterback to have on your fantasy team.
6. Kirk Cousins - The quarterback with the most to prove this season is Kirk Cousins. He has received the franchise tag two years in a row now as he has been unable to agree to a contract extension with the Washington Redskins. He will be a free agent after the season and has the potential to make a hundred million dollars. He almost threw for 5,000 yards last year. He is also been in the same Redskins offense for 4 years now. They did lose Garson and Jackson but they drafted Josh Doctson from TCU with their first round pick. Doctson is a stud and will be his #1 weapon right out of the gate. It will be a huge year for Cousins and the Redskins offense.
7. Russell Wilson - He is healthy and ready to run wild this season. I have Wilson so high because he is a dual threat. Not only will he throw the ball well, but he is capable of adding on 30+ rushing yards per game and can get into the end zone with his feet as well as his arm. Just two years ago he was the #5 ranked quarterback in fantasy football. Jimmy Graham is completely healthy for the first time in a few seasons and I expect him and Wilson to hook up a ton this year.
8. Jameis Winston - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers add deep threat Desean Jackson to one of the best receiving cores in the NFL. Winston is going to have the best options in the game to throw to. Last year he threw for 28 Touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He will need to improve his accuracy as well as he completed 60% of his passes last year. Winston should have a much better season this year. The third year for quarterbacks are usually break out years and he is poised to do just that.
9. Philip Rivers - At the age of 35, Rivers is running out of time to win a Super Bowl. He is getting some help this year as the Chargers drafted the talented Mike Williams out of Clemson to play wide receiver. He was the overall #7 pick in the draft and fills an immediate need for San Diego. Last year he threw for 33 Touchdowns but had 21 interceptions. That number must go down this year if Rivers wants to be playing in the postseason. It should be a solid and steady season for Rivers and is a safe fantasy pick this year.
10. Andrew Luck - He has the talent to be the best quarterback in the NFL this year. But why is he at #10? He is surrounded by the worst receiver core in the NFL. Can someone please getting Andrew Luck some help in Indy?! TY Hilton is a good receiver but is not a #1. Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett have potential but until they prove themselves, Luck has limited options with no depth. If some one at wide receiver can have a breakout year, then Luck has a chance to be near the top of the rankings in fantasy football.
11. Dak Prescott
12. Ben Roethlisberger
13. Matthew Stafford
14. Marcus Mariota
15. Cam Newton
16. Andy Dalton
17. Eli Manning
18. Carson Palmer
19. Tyrod Taylor
20. Joe Flacco
21. Blake Bortles
22. Ryan Tannehill
23. Carson Wentz
24. Alex Smith
25. Sam Bradford
26. Deshaun Watson
27. Brian Hoyer
28. Jared Goff
29. Paxton Lynch
30. Mike Glennon
31. Cody Kessler
32. Deshone Kizer

Who are you drafting this year? Tell us who will be a sleeper. Thank you for reading and following @steemsports and @scottybuckets. I will have my Running Back Rankings out tomorrow! Cheers!
Sort:

Jameis Winston and its not close.

I'm more than happy grabbing Rivers and maybe another 2nd tier QB in the later rounds of a draft while using the higher picks for WR and RBs. Rodgers is great and all, but there's no way I use that high of a pick on him or any of the others in the top 5 on this list.

Don't sleep on Newton, McCaffrey will help Big time! Coming from a Ravens fan!

Yes! Love him. Huge pick up for Carolina.

damn how did you post the clip??? if you can give me a direction, ll give you an upvote!

thank you!!

It's just a gif like this one.

You can just grab it and then drag it in like a normal photo.

I copy the "website address" and paste it in the comments.... I tried just copy and pasting and it didn't work but copying the "image address" usually does the trick😀

I thought Eli was a little low! But over all I think you're right on point!

Wooow.. Interesting info, amazing, good job.
thanks for sharing!!!!

well I do not know why it is called football? :/

It will be interesting to see if dak Prescott can repeat his performance from last season.

I agree with most of your list, but I gotta go with @itsyeboy on this one. Don't think Cam Newton should fall that far. Good post.

He will be good value for sure.

Where you already anticipating Big Ben at 12 to be hurt for a few weeks during the season?
