The match between the two teams was so close. This matched could have easily gone 3-3 with the style of play for most of the game. It was obvious though with Portugal that missing Cristiano Ronaldo affected team play. This was more compounded by the absence of other players like Raphael Guerreiro and Bernardo Silva as well. Still, the team still had enough left to win the game against the Mexican team.
