Blues Sing Blues Into The Final Four

Chelsea will be hoping they can go all the way as they continued their fine run of form under new manager, Tomas Tuchel as they knocked out FC Porto in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Blues looked like they came into the second leg of the tie with their FA Cup semifinal clash against Manchester City at the weekend in mind ass they approached the game with caution, knowing full well that they had a two-goal advantage.

Tomas Tuchel's side created the better chances in the early stages and should have gone ahead after six minutes but Mason Mount's shot at goal was deflected off target by a tireless Mbemba.

Benjamin Mendy was also a relieved man after a howler of a clearance fell to Corona just at the edge of the Chelsea box, but a timely block from Jorginho ensured Mendy didn't have a night to regret.

It would take the additional minutes at stoppage time for FC Porto to get their goal. A goal of the season contender, coming off the boots of substitute, Taremi Mehdi who missed the first leg through injury. Perhaps, coach Concecao would have felt he should have started his star man on the night.
