This will be the 13th time Chelsea and Barcelona will play against themselves since the year 2000. Nonetheless, 7 of these meetings have been played in Stamford bridge while the rest have been played at Camp Nou (6). Furthermore, in these 13 meetings, Chelsea has come up tops winning 4 of the fixtures while Barcelona has managed to win 3. All other 6 ended in stale mate. Considering the most recent matches (i.e the last 5 fixture between these two teams, Chelsea has won one and all other 4 ended in a stalemate.
There has been a consistent and very engaging battle between both sides whenever they meet but who win come out top today is the question everyone has been asking. Chelsea has been a free scoring side for the last five matches except when they stumbled against Watford and Bournemouth on 5th of february and the 31st of January 2018. Chelsea has won their last two matches however trashing hull city 4 goals to nil as well as West Brom 3 goals to nil. Their clean sheet in the last two matches will in no doubt give the defence a confidence boost. But can they also stop Barcelona from scoring too?...Well we will get to know pretty soon.
Barcelona last Five Matches
Barcelona hasn't really being at their best in the last 5 matches. They have won three [Eibar, Valencia (twice)] and drawn two against [Getafe and Espanyol]. However they have managed to keep cleen sheet in four of those occassions. Will they be able to stop Chelsea recent attack in this fixture? We will find out in few hours.
My Prediction
Well this match will definitely be an interesting one. Nonetheless, I don't really know why I am seeing a Chelsea win today. Ultimately, Barcelona will win possesion and probably score but I am seeing Chelsea coming tops. What's your own take on this matter. Do let me know in the comment box.
