Manchester City successfully scored perfect results in their second game in the Champions League group phase of the season with a 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 27 September 2017.
Various attacks were launched by Kun Aguero and his comrades in the first half, but Manchester City could only break the deadlock when the second half was only two minutes away. Kevin De Bruyne's hard shot from outside the penalty box slid into a corner of the Shakhtar hurdle without being able to reach by Pyatov and City a temporary 1-0 lead.
In the 86th minute, Bernardo Silva came on for Aguero and paid off. The energetic Portuguese midfielder became the inspiration of City's second goal scored by Sterling at the end of the second halftime.
