Yes!! This is AMAZING news!
We skaters know that once a couple of big time skate pros / YouTube skate vloggers join up it will be a HUGE moment for the entire steem / Avalon (dtube) blockchains!
Skateboarders anywhere in the world being able to monetise their passion, regardless of followers and views (I’m thinking about YouTube’s 1000 sub and 4000 hours rule), is a dream come true to every skateboarder, who deep down wants to be able to skate everyday and not have a ‘real’ job.
Once robots are doing every job on the planet, the real skill a person will have (apart from robot maintenance) will be their creativity and imagination, the real jobs of the future!
We need that token so bad!!
Also imagine how amazing an entire steemskate dapp /front end would be?
Posting clips direct from the streets! (Well, parks usually in my case!)

That #steemskate Dapp is such an awesome idea and very convenient. I can imagine filming a clip and uploading it straight to Steemskate just like Instagram.
I've been trying to approach some Pros like Sewa Kroetkov (he started his own youtube channel) and a couple more skater youtubers. Let's see what happens.
About the token, it's not yet gonna be a Steemit front-end like Palnet. Just a token you can send and receive via Steem-Engine. Creating a Steemskate page costs a lot and needs a team of 5-20 people. Once real onboarding begins we might be able to pull this off. Or once the SMT's kick in. It's gonna be free and easy. So I guess you can call that token a "Test" to see how things work and how many people are willing to support our community. Nevertheless it's gonna be fun for sure!
