It’s Finally Friday!!!
What’s going on in the steemit universe? Well it’s finally Friday and that means it’s time for the weekend! Lucky me I get to work tonight and tomorrow day but that don’t mean I can’t get something accomplished this weekend!
I was going through some things and found this coin that I completely forgot about having. It’s a 1925 Stone Mountain Half Dollar, it is a pretty cool coin! It was made to help raise money on behalf of the Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association for the Stone Mountain Memorial near Atlanta, Georgia. Designed by sculptor Gutzon Borglum, the coin features a depiction of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson on the obverse and the caption: "Memorial to the Valor of the Soldier of the South" on the reverse.
On another note my daughter has really got into the metal detecting! I have already talked to a friend and got us permission to try a spot that is crazy in history! I’m sure you have heard of “The Hatfields and McCoys”, it was a war between 2 families in the late 1800’s on the Kentucky-West Virginia state lines. Well that is like a hour drive from my house and Sunday we get to detect some of the main areas!!
We are so excited to do this, that place in Logan County, West Virginia is deep in history! Fingers crossed that we have good weather. My daughter even made me a logo for our metal detecting.....
Well I better get back to work, hope everyone has a great weekend!

The stone mountain coin is by far the most well made thought out design of any going this century. and your example it's one of the nicest examples I've ever seen outside of a plastic holder. Thanks for sharing
