World book day - 2022. Whats your favourite silver character?

March 3rd, 2022, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of World Book Day. The Royal Mint, over the years, have commemorated some of the worlds best known book in silver coin form.

From the "Mr Men" to "The Gruffalo" the RM continue to churn out coin after coin. Some coins go on to offer a very tasty profit, some hold their value and some end up being dumped on the secondary market for well under original purchasing price.

Books that transcend multiple generations are usually most profitable when coins are made depicting their main characters. Skmply because "flash in the pan" one hit wonders come and go, but books like the Gruffalo are loved the worldnover and by parents and their kids, and continue to evernso popular.
