For serious panda collectors, this would most likely be the first coin to get in their collection the 1989 1 Oz silver pandas.My friends and I would often joke about this been the jailed bear because of the design. The coin is in its original mint package (omp) which will have higher resale value in the collectors market and the mintage isn't really high compared to coins from other countries 😁

When did the pandas switch to being 30g instead of an ounce?
It's 2016 they changed the weight in 30g. 2015 they removed the weight and purity all together but found that their sales figure drop I think because people don't trust them in the weight n purity 🤣
